CMA AWARDS 2011-Oh, yeah, sometimes I'm a bit country...

Howdy ho, everyone!! I'm not saying "howdy" for some bit of cheesiness, I'm saying it because I'm watching Mr. Hanky from "South Park."

Anywho, it's my duty to hang out with you during the Country Music Association Awards on ABC. It's hosted tonight by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood; I believe for the 4th time.  I LOVE Brad, he's so entertaining; Carrie I'm not sure of sometimes. Hopefully, she can bring her "A" game!

There are a HOST of performers tonight. According to the CMA's twitter account there are: 28 nominations, 12 awards, 22 performances, and 29 acts. The math is weird here, but okay. Tonight will also feature FAITH HILL for the first time in 5 years, woot, right?! Also, her new song, "Coming Home," is written by Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic. I may have that song name wrong, but it's pretty good!

It's 18 minutes before the show and I'm prepping. I don't like pre/red carpet shows, so I'm not watching that! I'm just not sure how to deal when Taylor Swift hits the stage. Yes, I'm "mean." No. I just think that the dudes in the "Entertainer of the Year" category deserve it more than she does and I say the same about Mrs. Shelton. Oops. LOL

7:45pm: "Musical Event of the Year" has been handed out prior to the show to....*drumroll* Jason Aldean & Kelly Clarkson and "Don't You Wanna Stay." Super APPROVE. BEAUTIFUL song! I would have never imagined their voice would combine together, but the moment I heard the song...it was like BUTTA.

7:51: So, I turned to CMT and immediately got hives. Evan Farmer aka JERRY O'KEEFE  from "2gether" is interviewing LeAnn Rimes aka SKELETOR. Is that mean?! There I go again. I really just don't like red carpet interviews. They're mindless and ridiculous, YET, I could do it so well! LOL.

7:56: I love the Jeopardy theme song. However, those "holiday" pancakes on the IHOP commercial JUST gave me a cavity lol

8:00: YAY, let's go!!! BLAKE SHELTON performing "Footloose" This man is so fine. I think Kenny Loggins is going to come out...I bet....

8:01 we're introduced to the stagehand who didn't come out at the right time. hehe  Where's KENNY L.?

8:02: Oh, Okay, right there. LOL he had a bit of gibberish going on. B.S's version is pretty decent. There are a heck of a lot of dancers on stage, though. I really hope he goes home with an award or two, he's been kicking ass this year!

8:03: Brad Paisley is crazy.

8:05: LMFAO!!!! SO HILARIOUS!!!!

8:06: That's funny, but I'm still lol not into Hank too much. Oh and by the way, I heard the Muppets are going to be on the show, I may freak out!!!

8:07: OMG WHAT THE EFF IS GOING ON?!?

8:09: LMAO I love Stonestreet! LMAO Taylor Swift isn't happy they clowned on her. VERY VERY VERY GOOD INTRO!!!! Even country music are clowning on Kardashian! A PLUS!!

8:11: Single of the Year: SO HARD to choose between ZBB & Jason & Kelly...I don't know, I guess TBP could get down too. Winner is: "If I Die Young"

Maybe now that damn song will die. It's beautiful, technically, but it's depressing.

8:15: I must say I'm MUCH more impressed with the opening of the CMAs than the VMAs and maybe the BET Awards minus Kevin Hart!  Kudos to Blake, Brad, Carrie, and Eric! Good music, great comedy, and more good comedic music!

8:17: Time for Keith Urban to perform!!! I miss him!! He actually has to undergo throat surgery much like Adele!! Poor guy, I can hear it...sounds like he's in pain. I love seeing a performer give it ALL for their fans. However, I'm sure after this a break will be necessary! He's GREAT live!

8:21: I'm sure Keith is HAPPY he's done. He loves his peeps, but that's done....wait, Sara Evans looks like a rookie on the stage. Looks super nervous...and of course...SOUND SUCKS!!! yay!

8:23: I was going to be a smartass and ask what people spinning on scarves have to do with being "Stronger," but those chicks are hella strong. No smartass comment from Randi.

8:25: The horrible sound is going to get to me. Every dang year.

8:28: Is it CMAs or CMA's...weird thought.

8:31: It would be MUCH better if we could hear that SONG!!! Get it together, sound guy!!! Are you kidding me? No respect...ONLY BLAKE stood up?!

8:32: Song of the Year: Hmmm Maybe "If I Die Young" or " Colder Weather" oh.."you and Tequila" Though I LOVE "Dirt Road Anthem," but it was too much for traditionalists! There we go again The Band Perry.

8:36: Zac Brown Band is killing it. Honestly, I'm sure there are people that don't love it, I think they go over "traditionalists" heads with their music ability.

8:38: Shut the EFF up, LIONEL RICHIE?!?!?! WHOA!

8:44: Seriously, I will hunt you down, sound guy and fire you. It's making it "HARD" to watch this show! However, Rascal Flatts & Natasha Beddingfield are making it "EASY" (pun alert)...LOVE this song!!!

8:45 What the hell kind of fabric is that suit?! Pleather?!
